Vintage 1960s Steelite Windsor Platter Red Pheasants & Flowers Royal Doulton Hotelware

This is a vintage platter made in the Steelite Windsor pattern, which consists of a cranberry red pheasant, butterfly and flowers, very pretty. This pattern is basically the same as the Ridgway Staffordshire Windsor pattern and the Wedgwood/Ralph Hall Asiatic Pheasants pattern. The underside is stamped with Steelite Made in England Regd Trademark 767232 Windsor. The trademark of 767232 was registered in the UK on the 24th of October 1955. My understanding is that Steelite as a vitreous porcelain was introduced by Dunn Bennett & Co during the 1960s. Dunn Bennett was acquired by Doulton & Co in 1968 and became the Hotelware division of Royal Doulton. Doulton sold off the Hotelware division in 1983 to a new company named Steelite International plc. This platter has no mention of Doulton so possibly may pre-date that acquisition, and therefore would date to the 1960s. I have nine of these platters, price is for each. Each platter measures 9 by 11 3/4 and weighs 1 lb and 15 oz. Each is in very good condition with no scratches, chips, cracks or wear. Very sturdy dishes, excellent quality, rarely seen - pretty pattern!
