Vintage 1950s Rosenthal Porcelain Standard Poodle Dog Figurine T Karner Model 1163

This is a gorgeous quality standard poodle figurine made by Rosenthal of Germany at the Selb Plossberg factory. This poodle dog was modelled by artist Thomas Karner, who modelled many figures for Rosenthal. This figure is stamped on its underside with the Rosenthal Selb Plossberg Germany mark with a single dot under Germany, which I believe dates it to 1954. It is also stamped handgemalt, which means handmade. It is impressed Prof. Th Karner and with the model number 1163. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, wear or repairs. It measures 8 1/2 in height at the head and 9 1/2 in length from the tip of his face to the back leg. Rosenthal figurines are of the finest quality porcelain and this one is a wonderful acquisition for a poodle lover - note the attention to detail, beautiful display piece!
