This is a brass dinner bell bearing the emblem of the RMS Queen Elizabeth, a passenger steamship operated by the Cunard Line. The Queen Elizabeth was named after the wife of King George VI, launched in September 1938, but started service as a troop ship, only seeing its first commercial passenger voyage in 1946 and made her final crossing in 1968. She was the largest passenger ship built at the time and remained so for 56 years. The bell measures 3 5/8 in height and is in very good condition except for tarnishing to the brass - I havent tried to polish the piece. The RMS Queen Elizabeth was first operated by the Cunard-White Star Line, but Cunard bought out White Stars share in 1949 and reverted to the Cunard name.
This is a nice collectible piece - please view my other listings for more Cunard collectibles.
