Vintage 1940s Occupied Japan Figurine Baseball Player at Bat

This is a figurine made in the form of a baseball player at bat. He is stamped with Made in Occupied Japan in black on the underside. He certainly has a determined, and rather mean, look on his face. It measures 3 3/8 in height at his bat and is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or wear - there is what looks like a scuff on his arm, but this is underglaze, so original to the making of the piece. I believe that pieces that are stamped Occupied Japan date to between 1947 and 1952. Great addition to an occupied Japan collection or just a fun display piece!
