Vintage 1940s Child Tea Set Hazel Atlas Little Hostess Sierra Cups Saucers Teapot w Lid 16 pc

This is a vintage Little Hostess Sierra Childs Tea Set made by Hazel Atlas during the 1940s. The Sierra Set was the second version of the Little Hostess sets, each piece with two rings rather than three. The set is complete except that the sugar bowl is missing - they substituted a yellow cup for the missing sugar bowl. There are 16 pieces in all consisting of four cup trio sets, a creamer, a teapot with lid and the substitute sugar cup. There is no box. The colours are quite wonderful - maroon, green, lemon yellow and grey. Everything is in excellent condition - no chips, cracks or noted wear, this doesnt appear to have been played with. The set is made with platonite glass - colours fired-on to milk glass. The plates measure 5 5/8 in diameter, the saucers measure 3 7/8 in diameter.
Wonderful addition to a collection or just as a display set - the teapot with lid is especially difficult to find.
