Vintage 1930s Little Old Lady Tea Service Set Teapot Sugar Creamer HJ Wood

This is a wonderful tea service made by HJ Wood in the Little Old Lady form. The set consists of a teapot, a lidded sugar bowl and a creamer. The teapot is marked on the underside with Little Old Lady Regd No 827655 H.J. Wood England while the sugar and creamer are simply stamped with Made in England. The British registry number of 827655 dates the design to 1938. The teapot measures 8 1/2 in height and 7 1/2 in width from the spout to the back of the handle - it has a capacity of about 3 1/2 to 4 cups. The set is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or wear, except for surface crazing to the underside of the teapot and creamer - otherwise, everything looks very clean on the interior.
