Antique Scottish Banded Agate Glove Button Hook w Brass Hook 2 7/8

This is an antique banded agate glove button hook. It has a silver plate ferrule and a brass hook and is most likely of Scottish origin. This button hook is part of the collection of button hooks that was amassed by a long time collector. It measures 2 7/8 in length. These smaller button hooks were used for gloves, dress buttons, sleeves or shirt collars and are generally called glove hooks. It is in very good condition.
