Antique Austrian Majolica Potpourri Jar Urn Wilhelm Schiller & Son Bohemia 2192

This is a beautiful potpourri jar or urn made in Bohemia (then part of the Austro-Hungarian empire) by Wilhelm Schiller & Son. The jar is missing its lid, but still makes an attractive display piece. It is finished in a matte red colour with blue and gold detailing. It has top handles and is marked on the underside with WS & S and impressed with a symbol and the number 2192. It measures 6 3/4 in height at the handles and has a diameter of about 6 3/4. Aside from a bit of paint wear on the underside and where the cover would make contact it is in very good condition with no other wear except for some dulling of the gold to the upper part, normal and due to light or dust exposure. There are no chips or cracks. Lovely piece of Austrian majolica, sold at a discount due to the missing cover
