Antique Alabaster Bust Woman on Pedestal Unsigned Italian School

This is a lovely antique alabaster bust of a Renaissance period woman - the bust is affixed to an alabaster pedestal. The piece is unsigned except for No 81 but is very much in the Italian style, similar to work by Giuseppe Bessi. The piece measures 6 3/4 by 2 7/8 across its base and 7 1/4 in height - it weighs 4 lbs and 4 oz. It is in very good condition with some edge chipping to either side of the womans hat and a bit to the base and bow of the shawl. This is a lovely piece - nice size for a fireplace mantle or other display!
