This is an antique lidded sugar bowl made in the Strawflower pattern (which resembles the Blue Onion pattern) by the Kniglich Privilegierte Porzellanmanufaktur Tettau factory (Royally Privileged Porcelain Manufactory). It is known as such because it required the permission of the Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm II for it to operate. The T mark that appears underglaze in blue was used in various styles from 1794 until 1885 - the full mark on this piece reads T. 4. The piece measures 4 in height to the top of its finial and 4 1/4 across its handles. It is in very good condition with no chips or cracks and with only some wear to the gold trim. The porcelain has very nice translucence, excellent quality
This is not a common piece - beautiful quality German porcelain!
