Vintage 1970s Printed Jersey Dress Water Lily Batwing Sleeve

$175.00

Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing

This is a vintage 1970s printed jersey dress featuring a very pretty water lily pattern against a striking magenta background colour.  This 1970s printed jersey dress is in the style of Emilio Pucci who pioneered these printed jersey dresses - they became so popular that they spawned many imitators such as Leonard Paris, Bessi, de Parisi etc.  This 1970s printed jersey dress is missing its label and is unsigned in the print, so I cannot attribute it to a specific maker.  The dress, however, features fabulous batwing sleeves,  It has a deep V neckline and there is a slit at either bottom side.  The dress has no closure, so simply slips on over the head - I think that it would classify as a hostess dress.  It is unlined and quite sheer.

Fabric:  Jersey, most likely rayon, possibly silk.  Due to the lack of a label, I can’t be sure, but definitely slinky

Sizing: No size is indicated, and although this should fit a range of large sizes, please rely on the following measurements for fit, noting the loose fitting nature of the style:

Shoulders and sleeves: 33 1/2” long, from mid-neck to the cuff, or 67” across the top from cuff to cuff

Bust: 52” , estimated

Waist:  46”

Hips:  46”

Overall length: 55”, measured flat at the back

Condition: This 1970s printed jersey dress is in very clean condition with no wear, tear, staining or odours.

This is a wonderful vintage 1970s printed jersey dress - fabulous colour and style!
