This is a vintage Johnny Carson sport coat or suit jacket dating to the 1970s.  This Johnny Carson sport coat is made in a light brown wool tweed.  It has distinctive detailing like the velvet buttonhole tab at the left lapel and velvet trimmed centre panels on the flapped side pockets.  The jacket is made with wide notched lapels and a two button closure. The shoulders are slightly padded and there is a chest pocket.   The sleeves have two button cuffs.  The back has a 12” long centre vent.  The jacket is half lined in acetate printed in a wild abstract pattern.

Sizing: Size 40 Short is indicated on this Johnny Carson sport coat, but this may be more comfortable for a size 38 - please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior (please take the thickness of the fabric into consideration):

This Johnny Carson sport coat is in very clean condition with no pronounced wear, tear, staining or odour - this sport coat looks to have seen little use and was well stored.
