1990s Vintage Red Duffle Coat The Montgomery by Gant Mens L

This is a vintage red duffle coat or “toggle” coat made in a blended wool fabric.  This vintage red duffle coat is called “The Montgomery” and made by Gant.  It has four wood peg “toggle” closures, hence the name “toggle coat” as well as an inner brass zipper closure.  It has dropped shoulders and a button-down detachable hood with drawstrings that have metal fittings. There are both diagonal and flapped pockets at either side.  The coat is lined in interlined cotton fleece in green and blue and is embroidered with “The Montgomery” in red.  The sleeves are lined in purple satin.

Sizing: Size L is indicated, and although this vintage red duffle coat should fit a mens’ size large, please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the style of the garment and the thickness of the fabric into account:

Shoulders:  23” across, from shoulder seam to shoulder seam - note that due to the dropped shoulder, the seam sits on the upper arm

Sleeves:  25” long from the shoulder seam

Sleeve Inseam:  18 1/2”

Chest: 54” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 52” around

Length: 39” at the back from the neck seam

Condition:  This vintage red duffle coat is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, soiling, staining or odour. .
