This is a pure cashmere Brioni suit jacket or sport coat.  Brioni, of course, is one of the most expensive tailors in the world, known for making the most expensive off-the-rack suits in the world with custom tailored suits selling for $15,000 and more.  Brioni was founded in 1945, and during the 50s was discovered by American actors Clark Gable and Cary Grant while working at the Cinecitta Studios in Rome.  Brioni continues to supply made to measure suits to an exclusive clientele.  

This Brioni suit jacket is made in a classic style with medium width notched lapels, three button closure, four button cuffs, a flapped pocket at either side, a chest pocket and a flap vent at the back.  This Brioni suit jacket is fully lined in Cupro, which is a type of rayon that is made of regenerated cellulose fibres from cotton waste.  The cashmere exterior fabric is made in a fine tweed-like checked weave in brown and black.

Sizing: Italian size 52 indicated on this Brioni suit jacket, which should be equivalent to a US size 42, but please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior:

Brioni suit jacket:

Shoulders:  20” across, from one shoulder/sleeve seam to the other shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves:  24” from the shoulder seam

Sleeve Inseam:  17”

Chest: 44” around 

Waist: 42” around

Length: 30”, measured flat

Condition: This Brioni suit jacket is in very good condition with the exception of a tiny area near the right pocket where the brown thread is missing (see last close-up photo) and a few other areas where the black thread has dominated the brown so it appears as a slightly shadowed area  (see second-to-last photo) - a good tailor should be able to repair the missing brown thread, but I’m not sure about the darker areas, although these are not a major consideration.  Otherwise, this is no other wear, tear, stains or odour and this Brioni suit jacket has just been dry cleaned.  

This is a quality pure cashmere Brioni suit jacket - due to the small defects, sold “as is” at a very reasonable price!
