Vintage 50s Taffeta Dress Ruched Black w Crinoline Skirt - S

This is a fabulous vintage 50s taffeta dress featuring intricate ruched detail overall!  I posed this 50s taffeta dress with a crinoline - the crinoline is not included with the dress, but if you want to re-create a full skirt 50s look, you would need to use one, even though the dress is very usable without a crinoline. The dress has cap sleeves, a wide scoop neckline and a skirt that is cut like a circle - the dress closes with a metal zipper at the side.  It comes with a black faille grosgrain belt that cinches the waist.

Label: None, but this dress was manufactured.   It came from a well-to-do Italian lady who bought some of her wardrobe from Italian designers of the era. 

Sizing: No size is indicated on this 50s taffeta dress but this should fit a size small - please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking into the style of the dress into account:

Shoulders: 20” across including the cap sleeves

Bust:  36” around, taken under the sleeves

Waist:  24”  around

Hips:  Full, but meant to fall loosely

Overall length:  44”, measured flat from the top shoulder to the hemline

Condition:  This 50s taffeta dress is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, marks, stains or odours.  This has been well stored over the last 65 or so years.
