This is a lovely quality cocktail dress that was custom ordered from Giorgio Beverly Hills during the 1970s.  Giorgio was established in 1961 and was the first luxury fashion boutique to open on Rodeo Drive.  Their customers included Natalie Wood, Princess Grace (Kelly), the Reagans, Diana Ross and Elizabeth Taylor.  This dress is made of silk chiffon over an opaque satin silk base and has a lace bodice.  It is sleeveless, has spaghetti straps, and the skirt falls in drapes in a to-the-knee length.  

Label:  Giorgio Beverly Hills.  Giorgio launched a fragrance in 1981 to great success.  The owner sold the brand name to Avon in 1987 and re-named his store Fred Hayman Beverly Hills.  

Union label:  Version of the ILGWU label that was in use from 1974 until 1995

Material label:  100% silk chiffon

Sizing:  This was custom ordered, so there is no standard size, and although this should fit a medium size, please rely on the following measurements for fit (please measure your body or a similar garment that you might own for comparison):

Bust: 34”-35” around

Waist: 25”-26”

Hips:  35”-36” 

Overall length: 41“, from the top of the shoulder strap to the hemline, measured flat

Condition:  It is in very good condition with no wear, tear, stains or odour.  This dress looks to have seen little use at all and was well stored over the years.
