From the early 1960s here is a turban hat with a twist due to its interesting design.  It features detailed stitching around the band of the hat that follows up and over.  The center top is pinched and pleated to create four creases.  It is fully lined in a white stiffener fabric and that lining is covered in a beige lace. 

Label reads Yvette Brillon - Montreal.   This was a very well known milliner in Montreal who opened her first shop back in 1933.    She was admired throughout the fashion industry in Canada.

Banding around the head measures 21 1/2 inches.  Full height of the hat is 11 inches from top to bottom. 

I have always liked this type of style because it can be played with somewhat to give it a different look.

It is in very good condition.
