This is a 1920s Whiting & Davis evening bag, made in Canada. The purse features a delicate floral design painted on star-shaped metal mesh links in soft pastels—pinks, blues, yellows, and greens—against a dark background. The brass-tone frame is ornately embossed with scroll and architectural motifs and topped with a decorative floral clasp. The bag includes a simple link chain handle and an interior mesh lining with a built-in coin pocket.
Condition: This 1920s Whiting & Davis evening bag is in very good condition with expected wear from age. Some darkening/tarnish to the mesh and minor enamel loss in a few spots. Clasp functions well and mesh is intact with minimal separation.
