Vintage Henry VIII Costume Renaissance King Royalty Mens Lrg

This is a vintage Henry VIII costume made to look like something that he or a Renaissance court member would wear.  This vintage Henry VIII costume was home made using older materials - mustard coloured panne velvet, faux fur, purple plush velvet, metallic brocade ribbon, even an older Mexican sterling silver brooch.  This vintage Henry VIII costume consists of a mustard yellow gown with long pointed hanging cape sleeves that have an inner regular sleeve.  A purple vest with faux fur collar goes over the gown.  The outfit is accessorized with a purple velvet hat and a belt that has a pouch and a scabbard affixed to it - no sword is included.  The gown has metallic embroidered ribbon and a faux gold chain affixed to the upper front and the belt is also covered in metallic embroidery.  

Sizing:  This vintage Henry VIII costume should fit a large size, but please rely on the following measurements for fit (gown only):

Shoulders:  21” across seam-to-seam

Sleeves:  Inner sleeve has a length of 25” from the shoulder while the pointed cape sleeve has a drop of 38”

Chest:  54” around - will be cinched with the vest and by adjusting the hooked ties

Waist:  56” around

Hips:  56”

Length:  60”

Condition:  This vintage Henry VIII costume is in very good condition with no pronounced wear or tear.  The silver brooch is missing most of its abalone inlay and the plasticized fabric scabbard is not the most solid, but the garment itself is solid and looks great on.

Home made, but well made, and using good quality older materials, this is a very nice vintage Henry VIII costume that is sure to be noticed!
