Vintage Marcel Boucher Topaz Rhinestone Brooch & Earrings 9331E Demi Parure

$110.00

Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing

This is a gorgeous demi-parure, consisting of earrings and brooch, made by quality jeweler Marcel Boucher (1898-1964).

Boucher had his early training at Cartier in Paris, and then in New York.  He started his costume jewelry business in 1937.  When Dior introduced his “New Look” fashion in 1947, Boucher began to design elegant parures to match the return to elegance during the late 40s and through to the 60s.

This brooch is signed on the backside with “©Boucher” and the earrings are stamped with the number 9331E.  The copyright symbol before Boucher dates the set to post-1955.  The brooch is made in an elongated “leaf” form with rectangular topaz rhinestones set in a gold plated metal, the end rhinestones cut to fit the contour of the setting.  The earrings are made in a similar form.  The brooch measures 2” in length while the earrings measure 1 1/4” in length.  All three pieces in very good condition with no wear, missing stones or repairs - this is a very nicely preserved demi of excellent quality.

This is a very nice set - beautifully made in a lovely colour, great accessory for the right outfit!
