This is a vintage Courreges wool skirt dating to the early 70s.  It is made with a slight A line style. Being Courreges, is beautifully tailored.  It does up at the side with a metal zipper and closes with two lavender colored snaps at the waist.  It is fully lined in white acetate.  The upper front has an embroidered Courreges logo affixed to it.

 Age: 1970s

Makers Label: Courreges Paris Couture Future Made in France.  Couture Future was Andre Courreges’ higher end ready-to-wear line, which he introduced in 1967 for sale in department stores.  The label is stamped with a number - 033696.

Color: lavender blue with grey.

Fabric:  100% Wool with a 100% acetate lining

Sizing: Size 0 is indicated, which is the Courreges size code for a US size 4/6 - please note the following measurements for fit (your body measurements should be smaller, or measure a similar garment that you own):

Waist: 24” around

Hips:  35” around 

Hemline:  45” around

Length:  19 1/2”, measured flat

Condition:  This skirt is in very good condition - some slight wear spots to the nappe (pile finish) of the wool at the lower back, but this is minor.  Otherwise, very clean and quite crisp.
