Vintage 1930s 40s Mannequin Head Plaster Bust Male Child Young Boy Hersey Knitting

This is a vintage mannequin head bust made in the form of a male child, probably a young boy aged 4 or so. There is a decal on the front that reads Hand Knitted by Hersey. I guess that this was probably used to pose a knitted hat and scarf, most likely in a store display window or on a counter. The piece is made of plaster and, from its general appearance and that of the decal, would most likely date to the 1930s or 40s. It measures 10 3/4 in height, 8 in width and about 5 1/2 in depth. It is in very good condition - a bit of the decal is missing and there are a few small, light, marks and some wear to the hair colour at the back, but overall this displays very well.
