This is a wonderful vintage designer jacket designed by Andre Courreges, a renowned Parisian fashion designer, synonymous with space influenced 60s design. Courreges is also credited, with Mary Quant, as being the inventor of the mini-skirt. This jacket was marketed under the Hyperbole label, which was Courreges’ ready-to-wear line, introduced in 1967. I believe that this jacket dates to the early 70s. It is made in a fitted style, with small squared collar. It does up with a vinyl zipper down the front and cinches with a matching belt at the waist. It has a pocket at either side and the cuffs are turned and decorated with buttons. Very well tailored and has a crisp look to it. It is fully lined.
