1940s Shirley Temple Autographed Photo Authentic Autograph

This is an authentic autographed photo personally signed by Shirley Temple and made out To Lawrence. Lawrence collected autographs by writing to celebrities and asking for an autographed photo, or, if possible, catching them in person at an event or appearance. He would have been about 19 or 20 when he received this photo. At this time in Shirley Temples career, she would have been about 17 or 18 years old and would retire from show business in 1950 at the age of 22. Ive provided extreme close-ups of her signature and it is obvious that it is authentic - one simply has to compare it to other authentic autographs that on online, her signature has some very identifiable characteristics. Although movie stars often had secretaries sign for them, Shirley Temples career was winding down at this point in her life, so she would have had time to sign personally and it would be in her character to personally answer a fan.
This photo measures 5 by 7 and is in very good condition with only a slight curl - it could easily be flattened. The photo is sepia toned.
This is a wonderful collectible for the autograph collector or for the admirer of Shirley Temple, who went on to have a political career, serving as a diplomat and eventually the US ambassador to Czechoslovakia.
