1940s Royal Winton Grimwades Pink Brocade Rose Cup & Saucer w Rosebud Flower Handle

This is a very pretty cup and saucer made in the hard-to-find pink coloured Brocade Rose pattern with rosebud flower handle shape by Royal Winton. The glaze has an iridescent finish that is visible when you tilt the set in the light. The cup measures 2 7/8 in height and 3 1/4 in diameter across its top - the saucer measures 5 3/4 in diameter. The set is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or wear except for a tiny inclusion to the gold trim on the top edge of the cup (see last close-up photo), a bit of gold edge wear to the saucer and some very minor craze lines. The Royal Winton A mark on the underside on each of the pieces dates the set to between 1945 and 1951. This pink version is much harder to find than the cranberry coloured version and usually only found in Canada, so is a nice addition to a collection - very pretty!
