This is a vintage acrylic pullover sweater made during the 1970s. This sweater is knit at the front in a red upper with a white stripe against a navy blue background.  The back is solid navy blue.  It is made with a crew neck with long sleeves, with ribbed cuffs, bottom and neck.  There are no labels, but this came from an estate where the woman had owned a clothing store during the 60s and 70s, and most items were unused stock left over from the store.  This may have been meant for a boy, although I’m not sure, but should fit a women’s size medium - please note the following measurements for fit, keeping in mind the cut of the sweater and that are measurements are for unstretched knit:

Shoulders:  15” across from shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam (edge of red band)

Sleeves: 24 1/2” long from the shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve Inseam: 20” long

Chest: 32” around, unstretched, but easily stretches out to 36”, taken under the arms

Bottom:  28” around, unstretched, but easily stretches out to 34”

Overall length: 24 1/2”

Condition: As mentioned, I believe that the sweater is leftover stock as it certainly looks unused - no wear, tear, staining, soiling or odour.  Ready to wear!

This is a perfect period sweater - clean 70s look!
