Vintage 1960s Purple Wool Coat Jackie O Era Size M

This is a 1960s purple wool coat dating to the Jackie Kennedy era.  This 1960s purple wool coat is made with a fairly wide collar and lapel, full length sleeves and a four button double breasted front closure.  The coat is well constructed - note the seam lines.  The interior is fully lined in purple acetate.  The wool is fairly thick, but not interlined - this is not for cold winter wear, but probably for fall or cooler spring temperatures.

Label: None, but definitely manufactured

Fabric:  no label, but an excellent quality wool, nice soft finish

Sizing: There is no size label, and although this 1960s purple wool coat should fit a medium size, please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the thickness of the fabric and the style of the coat into account:

Shoulders:  18” across seam-to-seam

Sleeves:  23 1/2” from the shoulder seam

Sleeve Inseam:  17”

Bust: 42” around 

Waist: 38” around

Hips:  40” around

Length: 40”, measured flat at the back from the neck seam

Condition:  This 1960s purple wool coat is in very good condition with no tears, stains, odour or pronounced wear but the lining has some slight discolouration down through the middle.
