Vintage 1970s Overcoat Blue Wool Mens Coat Size L

This is a vintage 1970s overcoat made of a lighter toned navy blue coloured pure virgin wool.  This vintage 1970s overcoat is made in a classic style with padded shoulders, peaked lapels, a six button double breasted front, flapped side pockets, and three button split cuffs.  There is an 19 1/2” long kick vent at the bottom back.  The coat is fully lined in black satin acetate.   

Union label: ACTWU/TAVT, which was in existence between 1976 and 1995. 

Content label:  Pure virgin wool with the Woolmark symbol, “Made in Canada” and the CA textile identification number of CA00141, which is assigned to Premier Brand Clothing Co. Ltd. of Montreal, Canada, 

Sizing: The size label reads US size 44 regular with a 38 waist, but please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior (please take the thickness of the fabric and the fitted cut of this vintage 1970s overcoat into consideration):

Shoulders: 19 1/2” between shoulder/sleeve seams

Sleeves: 26” from the shoulder seam

Sleeve Inseam: 17” long

Chest: 47 1/2” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 43”

Hips:  47”

Overall length: 44 1/2“, measured flat at the back from the neck seam

Condition:  Although pre-owned, this vintage 1970s overcoat is in excellent condition, very clean with nice nappe (finish) - it’s obvious that it saw very little use.  There is no pronounced wear, tear, soiling, odour or staining.
