$110.00

Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing

This is a mens unused vintage 1970s plaid jacket made in tones of blue, black, red and white - the jacket still retains its label and cardboard ticket at the left sleeve cuff.  This vintage 1970s plaid jacket is made in a style similar to that worn by Herb Tarlek, the salesman for WKRP in Cincinnati, the television show.  It is made with wide notched lapels and a two button closure.  The shoulders are padded and there is a large flapped patch pocket built onto either side as well as a pocket at the left chest.  The sleeves have two button cuffs.  The back has a 13” long back bottom centre vent that is still stitched closed at the bottom.  This vintage 1970s plaid jacket is half lined.

Sizing: Size 36 is indicated on this vintage 1970s plaid jacket, but I think that this is more like a size 34 - please note that it was too small for my dummy form.  Please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior:

Shoulders: 16 1/4” across shoulder seam-to-seam

Sleeves: 24 1/2” from the shoulder seam

Sleeve Inseam: 16 1/2” long

Chest: 38” around, taken under the arms (size is usually 3”-4” less than chest measurement)

Waist: 34” around

Overall length: 30 1/2“, measured flat

Condition: This vintage 1970s plaid jacket is in excellent condition as it was never used and well kept over the years

This is a wonderful vintage 1970s plaid jacket - unusual to find unused like this!
