Label: Bantamac of Canada Ltd. Deluxe Tailored Weather Perfect Made in Canada
Bantamac was founded by Benjamin Breier, a Dutch national, who is credited with being the first to introduce lightweight wind and weather resistant jackets. The Bantamac brand was filed as a trademark in 1949, but Bantamac jackets were used by the US Army and Navy during WWII.
Color: Black
Sizing: Size 44 is indicated on the label, but this is a vintage sizing and although I think that this vintage 1960s black leather coat would fit a medium size, about a US size 38/40, please rely on the following measurements for fit (compare the measurements to those of a similar coat that you might own and consider leaving space for a jacket):
Shoulders: 18 1/2” across the top from seam to seam
Sleeves: 25” long from the shoulder seam
Sleeve Inseam: 16 1/2” long
Chest: 45” around, taken under the arms
Waist: 44” around, but meant to be cinched with the belt
Overall length: 38"
Condition: This vintage 1960s black leather coat is in very good condition with only a few small surface picks to the leather - see the last two close-up photos. Otherwise, no staining, soiling, wear or tear, this has been well kept over the last 60 years.
This is a great looking vintage 1960s black leather coat – nice quality fabric, great vintage look!
