Vintage 1960s Barbiecore Pink Nightie Dress Pleated Chiffon

This is a wonderful 1960s Barbiecore pink nightie that could be worn as a dress.  This 1960s Barbiecore pink nightie has a deep V neckline and back and a high waist that cinches with drawstrings at the centre front. This remind me of the famous “sidewalk” dress worn by Marilyn Monroe, except that that dress was a halter dress.

Makers Label: Linda Underlovelies.  This is the brand of Linda Lingerie, established in Montreal in 1944

Colour: Pink 

Fabric:  Chiffon, synthetic, possibly polyester or nylon / poly blend - sheer and somewhat see-through

Sizing: Size S is indicated on the tag, but I’m not sure that this is the size - although I think that this 1960s Barbiecore pink nightie is a medium size, please note the following measurements for fit:

Bust:  difficult to measure due to the open back  - appears to be about 36”

Waist:  34”, meant to be cinched with the ties

Hips:  Full, 36” that expands due to 

Length:  36”, measured flat

Condition: This 1960s Barbiecore pink nightie is in very good condition - there is a small stitched repair at the seam, but this is hidden within a pleat, so really not at all an issue.  Otherwise, no wear, tear, pulls, stains or odour, looks like it saw little use and was well stored over the years.
