Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing

This is a vintage 1950s striped blazer or suit jacket made in Canada of British worsted wool.  The wool is woven in alternating blue and black vertical stripes.  This vintage 1950s striped blazer has high set narrow width notched lapels, a three button closure and is half lined in a blue satin fabric.  There are flapped pockets at either side as well as a chest pocket.  It has two button cuffs and a 7” centre back vent.  It has squared padded shoulders that emphasize the upper physique due to the jacket tapering down through its body.  This vintage 1950s striped blazer has an ACWA (Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America) union label that was used between 1949 and 1962 affixed to the inside of the interior pocket.
