This is a wonderful 1950s dressing gown featuring satin stripes in multiple colours against a black background - red, violet, green, yellow, gold, blue, pink, silver, brown, orange and navy blue.  This 1950s dressing gown is cut full and has no closure - it simply wraps around the body.  It has dolman style sleeves and a narrow shawl collar.  It has above the wrist length sleeves and there is a pocket built into either side.  The piece is unlined.
Label: Styled by Morsam.  Morsam Fashions Ltd. was founded in Montreal in 1917 by two Romanian immigrants.  It still exists today, and is presently the second largest importer of robes and loungewear in North America.
Material: Unmarked - taffeta type fabric, probably rayon based
Sizing: No size is indicated, and although this 1950s dressing gown should fit a medium to large size, this is meant to be worn as a loose fitting comfortable garment - please note the following measurements for fit, taking the style of the dressing gown into consideration:
Shoulders: 17” across, estimated due to the dolman sleeve
Sleeves:  21” from the estimated shoulder
Bust:  52” around, taken under the arms
Waist:  56” around, could be cinched with the belt
Hips:  64” around, meant to fall loosely
Hemline:  106” around
Overall length: 46"
Condition: This 1950s dressing gown is in very good condition with no wear, tear, staining or odour.  This piece has been well stored and cared for over the years.
