WWII Era Womens Suit Khaki Wool by House of Stone Toronto Size M

Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing

This is a WWII era women’s suit made of khaki green colored wool. The suit has a label that reads “Tailored by House of Stone Toronto”. The jacket has squared, padded shoulders, peaked lapels and an interesting five button configuration that is arranged diagonally so that only the single bottom button acts as a closure. It has a slant flapped pocket at either side and is fully lined in a copper colored fabric. The skirt is cut in a mid calf length in a slight A line with deep inverted V pleat at both the front and back. It is unlined

Condition: The suit is in very good condition with no wear, tear or fading - there are a few tiny brown spots/stains that I have not worked on as they are quite minor. Neither has the suit been dry cleaned, although it is in wearable condition as is.

This is a great example of a Canadian wartime period suit.....
