Vintage Tie 1930s Pink Necktie by Grovers Montreal Fine Gingham Unused NOS w Box
Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing
This is a vintage necktie made for Grover’s of Montreal, Canada. Grover’s was a Montreal based manufacturer founded in 1925 that also had a chain of retail clothing stores for men. This tie is difficult to date precisely, but I would think 1930s because of the unlined ends and shorter length. The tie features a fine woven pattern in pink and white, almost like a fine gingham pattern. I’m unsure of what the fabric is exactly, but most likely either silk or rayon. It measures 48” in length and has a width of 3” at its widest. The label reads “Imported Fabric Styled for Grover’s Montreal”. It is in excellent unused original condition as it has been stored in its original box for the last 80 years. This came from an estate where the family kept everything - we found many Christmas presents that were kept but never used. This is a very attractive vintage tie - great colour!
