This is a wonderful vintage smoking jacket made by Caulfeild of Toronto. The piece is made of maroon wool with red and black roped trim. It has padded shoulders, a shawl collar, turned cuffs and does up with two plastic buttons at the front. There is a patch pocket at either side and at the left chest, all trimmed in the black and red roping. It is unlined.

Label: Caulfeild Tailored by C.B.G. Caulfeild was founded in 1886 as a retailer but by the 1920s became a manufacturer, eventually gaining 30% of the Canadian market for robes and loungewear during the 1970s.

This is a great looking smoking jacket – you don't see nice examples like this very often.
