1940s Smoking Jacket by Caulfeild in Maroon Wool

This is a wonderful vintage smoking jacket made by Caulfeild of Toronto. The piece is made of maroon wool with red and black roped trim. It has padded shoulders, a shawl collar, turned cuffs and does up with two plastic buttons at the front. There is a patch pocket at either side and at the left chest, all trimmed in the black and red roping. It is unlined.
Age: 1940s / early 1950s
Label: Caulfeild Tailored by C.B.G. Caulfeild was founded in 1886 as a retailer but by the 1920s became a manufacturer, eventually gaining 30% of the Canadian market for robes and loungewear during the 1970s.
Color: Maroon with red and black trim
Sizing: No size is indicated, but it should fit a smaller medium size - please rely on the following measurements for fit, either comparing them to another jacket that you may own or your body measurements, allowing at least 1" less for fit:

It is in very good condition with no wear, tear, staining or odors, looks like it was rarely used and well stored over the years.This is a great looking smoking jacket – you don't see nice examples like this very often.
