This is a very pretty waist cincher or corset belt made in Canada for Holt Renfrew - Holt Renfrew is a Canadian boutique type department store that sells only designer fashion and luxury quality private label.  I assume that this was meant to be worn over a dress as it deserves to be shown.  It is made of pure silk that is printed with a lovely floral pattern in colours of pink, red, green, yellow and bluish grey against a black background.  It closes with ten hooks and eyes at the back and laces up at the front.  The size label reads “M-L” for medium to large.  It measures 29 1/2” across the middle with the laces fully tightened.  The piece is in excellent condition with no wear, tear, staining, soiling or odour.   

This is a lovely piece, wonderful to create a certain romantic look.
