This is a wonderful vintage Norwegian sweater made by Norlender in a Nordic pattern in white against a black background colour. This type of sweater is referred to as a Stavanger sweater as it has its origins in the region surrounding the city of Stavanger in Norway. The pattern is a traditional one, known as a Lustkofte sweater pattern - it consists of snowflakes and other traditional Norwegian motifs. This vintage Norwegian sweater is made of 100% wool in a cardigan style. It closes with seven pewter buttons down the front. The collar and opening are decorated with red, white and black embroidered ribbon.
Label: Norlender Genuine Norwegian Knitwear Norlender Knitwear AS 5282 Lonevag, Norway. Norlender was founded in 1927 and is one of the few existing textile factories in Norway.
