This is a grey fur felt fedora hat made under the “Lee Ambassador” brand. This hat features a medium width brim that is turned at the edge and stitched down. The crown is wrapped in a black grosgrain ribbon with a bow at the side. The lining is gold stamped “Lee Ambassador Beaver Finish” and the sweatband is silver stamped “Lee Genuine Fur Felt”. It was made in Canada under the Lee brand name, which I believe was used by the Magill Hat Co. of Montreal. It is sized as a size 7 1/8 - it measures 22 3/8” around the sweat band and 6 1/2” by 7 5/8” across the opening. The brim measures 2 1/4” in width and the crown measures 4 3/4” in height. The hat is in very good condition - pre-owned, a small stain to the lining, some waviness to the sweatband and a bit to the crown, very minor, but otherwise, very clean and ready to wear. I think that the hat dates to the 60s or 70s. This is a good looking hat - sold at a very reasonable price…..
