Vintage Mens Cashmere Coat Black Overcoat Hand Tailored Size L

This is a vintage mens cashmere coat or overcoat made in black.  It is made in a classic style with medium width notched lapels, padded shoulders, three button closure, flapped pocket at either side and a 19’’ kick vent at the back.  The coat is fully lined in a two toned "sharkskin" rayon taffeta.    

Label: Finest Hand Tailored Imported Cashmere. Made in Canada appears at the neck.  Burtmar appears on the interior pocket along with the original owner’s monogram of “F.A.”.  Burtmar was a very good Montreal based manufacturer of men’s wear that, I believe, ceased operations in 2011.  In the past, I’ve had fantastic 60s era men’s suits by them

Sizing: This is a size large, probably about a a 44, but, being hand tailored and probably custom made, please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the thickness of the fabric into account:

Shoulders:  21” across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam

Sleeves:  25 1/2” from the shoulder seam

Sleeve Inseam:  16 1/4”

Chest: 47” around 

Waist: 45” around

Hips:  47” around

Length: 48”, measured flat

Condition:  It is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, stains or odours -  this coat looks to have seen little use and was well stored and cared for over the years.

Excellent quality and classic styling.....this was originally a very expensive coat!
