Vintage Mani by Giorgio Armani Suit Navy Pinstripe Size 41R

This is a vintage double-breasted men's suit labeled *Mani by Giorgio Armani*, tailored in Italy from 100% virgin wool in a muted navy blue with subtle white pinstripes. This suit features a classic four-button double-breasted front, wide peak lapels, structured padded shoulders, jetted side pockets and a fully lined interior. The trousers are flat-front with a straight leg and clean silhouette.

This Mani by Giorgio Armani suit was made during the earlier years of the Mani line, which was launched in 1979 when Giorgio Armani established his American corporation. Mani by Giorgio Armani was conceived as a professional menswear line for the North American market, with garments produced in Italy and distributed through high-end retailers. In 1983, Armani entered into a manufacturing agreement with Gruppo Finanziario Tessile (GFT) to produce the Mani by Giorgio Armani and the higher-end Borgonuovo 21 line — but this Mani by Giorgio Armani suit appears to predate that arrangement as there is no mention of GFT on the content label.

The content label includes the Canadian textile identification number of CA03280, registered to V. Greif Clothing Ltd. of Toronto, a known Canadian distributor, confirming this Mani by Giorgio Armani suit was made in Italy and imported into Canada by Greif prior to the GFT partnership. The content label was printed by Poligrafico Roggero & Tortia, an Italian printing firm, which further supports early production origins.
