This is an interesting vintage 1970s Quebec Nordiques sweater with the hockey club patch woven into it, definitely original and not affixed later on. This vintage 1970s Quebec Nordiques sweaters is made in a cardigan style and definitely looks to be 1970s era. The Nordiques were part of the WHL (World Hockey League) from 1972 until 1979 and part of the NHL (National Hockey League) from 1979 until 1995. This vintage 1970s Quebec Nordiques sweater r looks like something that would have be worn by management, maybe coaching staff. The only labels are the size label (M for medium) and the content / care label - 70% acrylic and 30% wool Made in Canada. The CA identification number of 00972 belonged to Mirsa Knitwear of Montreal, which was incorporated in 1983 and dissolved in 1988 - although incorporated in 1983, it most likely existed prior to incorporation, so the sweater is possibly 1970s, but definitely before 1988. The sweater has a pocket at either side at the bottom front, a four button closure and dropped shoulders.
Sizing: Size M is indicated, and although this vintage 1970s Quebec Nordiques sweater should fit a medium size, please rely on the following measurements for fit, keeping the stretch of the wool in mind:
