A wide leather strap runs vertically around the centre of the case and fastens at the front with a substantial \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003eGucci-marked brass-tone buckle and locking mechanism (no key present)\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe case opens with double zippers fitted with \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003eGucci-marked zipper pulls\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e. The original small \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003eGucci padlock\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e is still attached, although the key is no longer present.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe interior is fully lined in beige patterned fabric and retains its original fitted appointments. One half has a large zippered compartment, while the other incorporates retaining straps for securing clothing during travel. An interior leather tab carries the metal \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003eGUCCI \/ MADE IN ITALY\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e plaque. When empty, the canvas sides and upper portion naturally extend beyond the more structured leather-edged dimensions, and the centre can expand further when packed.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003eCondition:\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e Very good condition and quite clean inside and out. There are some light whitish marks to the exterior canvas, really negligible, and one tiny gummy mark on the interior lining on the pocket side, as well as a small moisture patch to the lining at one corner on the side without a pocket. Overall, the suitcase presents very well and appears to have seen relatively little use. The exterior leather is very well preserved with no significant wear, although there are a couple of very minor dark marks. There is some scuffing and scratching to the leather on the underside, much of which may improve with appropriate leather care. The black canvas has a very small hole, approximately \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e1\/16\" in diameter\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, at the lower right front near the leather corner (see close-up photograph). The original Gucci padlock is present, but \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003ethere is no key\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e.
