Vintage Garlands Pale Dry Ginger Ale Bottle 30 Fluid Oz Size North Bay Ontario

This is a vintage Garlands Pale Dry Ginger Ale bottle - the bottle is empty but originally held 30 fluid oz of soda. Garlands was founded by JR Garland in 1949 - Garland was elected MP for Nipissing that same year. Garlands distributed its own brand as well as Pepsi and flavoured sodas. This bottle reads Garlands Serve Ice Cold Made From the Purest Ingredients Garland Beverages Limited North BayContents 30 Fl Ozs on the back. I believe that this bottle dates to the 1960s or 70s. It measures 11 7/8 tall and is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or wear. This bottle comes from one of a handful of small Ontario, Canada soda makers that served a local market before the large soda companies like Coca Cola and Pepsi made it impossible for them to compete. This is not a common bottle, wonderful Canadian soda collectible!
