Vintage French Off White Antelope Suede Leather Gloves Ladies Size Small

This is a exceptional quality pair of late 1950s or early 1960s era gloves made in an off-white coloured antelope suede leather. The interior of the right glove reads “C.A.R.O.S. 6.2” within a triangle with “Antilope” underneath - antilope is French for antelope. I’ve never seen white antelope before - usually it is black or navy and is problematic because the coloured dye usually “bleeds” onto other surfaces. You won’t have that problem with these because they are off white. The gloves are in excellent condition and look unused. They do have a light line at the inside of the fold edge, simply from laying flat for years as these are unused. They close with a mother of pearl button (if desired).
Size: Stamped size 7, but I believe that they are smaller than that as I wear a 7, and although I realize that they are unused, so unstretched, they definitely were small on me. They have a length of 8 1/2” to the middle finger. They measure 2 7/8” across the palm - although there is some stretch, please be aware of this measurement, perhaps measure another pair of gloves that you may own. The middle finger measures 3” in length.
This is a wonderful pair of vintage gloves, beautiful quality - you can’t buy quality antelope leather like this anymore, really rare in white. Great acquisition if they fit!
