Vintage Dyed Sheared Rabbit Fur Coat 1980s Size Medium
Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing
This is a vintage sheared fur coat dyed in a fabulous black and red linear pattern with light brown patches joining the red lines to form the appearance of “blocks”, all against a bluish green background. I believe that the fur is rabbit due to the lightness and pliability of the skins and the softness of the fur. The coat probably dates to the 1980s. It has rounded shoulders, full sleeves with well defined cuffs and a collar that can be worn closed or with an open neckline. The neck closes with two large brass buttons, one with an affixed loop and the other with a hook. It does up with three fur hooks and loops down the front. There is an interior drawstring that can be drawn to cinch the waist. I’ve posed the coat cinched, uncinched and also with a closed and open neckline. The interior is lined in a quality paisley print fabric. The original owner’s initials are affixed to the lining.
