Vintage Christian Dior Nightgown with Bed Jacket Size Small

This is a nightgown and bed jacket set made in Canada under license to Christian Dior.  It is made of pink 100% polyester, trimmed in white lace and decorated with satin flowers throughout.  The bed jacket does up with four small buttons and loops and has a back pleat.  The bodice of the nightgown has a lace centre and the nightgown has an open back.  

Age: 1980s, maybe late 1970s

Makers Label: Christian Dior Lingerie Canada.  The CA00533 Canadian Textile Identification number identifies Linda Lingerie of Montreal as the manufacturer.

Retailer label:  Holt Renfrew.  Holt Renfrew is a venerable Canadian boutique style department store that carries designer and luxury labels as well as their own private label.

Color: Pink and white

Fabric:  100% polyester

Sizing: Size small is indicated, but please note the following measurements for fit:

Bedjacket:  

Shoulders:  14” across the shoulders seams

Bust:  36” around, taken under the arms

Length:  24” measured flat

Nightgown:

Bust:  34” round, taken under the arm openings

Waist:  32”, meant to be cinched with the waist ties

Hips:  Full, meant to fall in drapes

Length:  56 1/2”, measured flat from the top of the shoulder straps to the hemline

Condition:  The nightie is pre-owned, but in excellent condition with no wear, tear, stains or odors - the top loop to the bed jacket is undone (see last close-up photo), but otherwise, this nightie looks like it saw very little use and was well stored over the years.

This is a very pretty set - lovely design by a French fashion house!
