Vintage 1990s Carlos Falchi Crossbody Bag Southwestern Style Purse

This is an authentic vintage 1990s Carlos Falchi crossbody bag made of top grain black leather with suede appliqués representing pottery vessels that appear to be of Southwestern origin.  This Carlos Falchi crossbody bag is made in a rectangular shape with over flap.  The interior of the bag is secured closed by a snap-down tab and is cinched with leather rope-like ties.  There is one large interior compartment that has a zippered pocket built into its side.  The sides of the bag are made of gold toned yellow suede leather and the top of the purse is braided with red toned suede leather.  It has a leather shoulder strap that has a fall of 22”.  The purse measures 11 3/4” in width by 9 1/2” in height across its front flap.

Condition: This Carlos Falchi crossbody bag is in very good condition - there are some whitish areas at the upper flap (see photos), but these areas can be easily treated by a leather specialist.  Otherwise, this Carlos Falchi crossbody is very well preserved.

Carlos Falchi started business during the 1970s by making custom hand crafted clothing for Patti Smith, Miles Davis, Tina Turner and Mick Jagger.  He turned his attention to making purses and over the years his customers have included Jackie Onassis, Sharon Stone, Cate Blanchett, Mary J. Blige and Tiny Fey.
