Vintage Buchan Thistle Ware Salad Plate Oven Proof Scottish Stoneware 289 / 8

This is a thistle ware salad plate made in Scotland by Buchan of Portobello. I have two of these offered for sale - price is for one only. These are hand painted, so there is a slight variation in the decoration from one plate to the other. Each piece is marked on its underside with Buchan Portobello Scotland Finest Stoneware 289 / 8 M2M - 50 Oven Proof and hand initialed by the artist. Each measures 8 in diameter and is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or pronounced wear. Lovely quality.nice addition to a collection of this stoneware
