Vintage 1960s Brown Mink Jacket w Large Collar Size Medium

This is a lovely quality vintage mink jacket made in a muted brown color, dating to the early 60s. It is made in a classic style with a large rounded collar that can be worn either up or down (see photos for different poses). The collar really is rather large and should completely envelope your head for extra warmth and protection. The fur is of excellent quality - It is made of female pelts, the fur is very soft and has nice sheen to it. There are no closures other than some sprocket shaped buttons on the backside of the collar on either side of the front neckline - there are three remaining, but originally there had been four. I’m not sure how these functioned, but you can easily remove them or try to figure out how to utilize them. It is lined in tan grey fabric that is woven with a floral motif. The original owner’s name is embroidered on the lining - this came from a very well-to-do family in the transport business, a name that you might recognize as they owned one of the largest transport companies in North America - they would have bought top quality.
Label: J. Richer Inc Montreal.
Sizing: No size is indicated, but this should fit a medium size - please rely on the following exterior measurements for fit, taking the thickness of the fur into account (compare measurements with a similar fur jacket that you presently own or to your own body measurements, taking the cut of the garment into account):
Shoulders: 19” across from one shoulder sleeve seam to the other shoulder sleeve seam
Sleeves: 22” from the shoulder seam
Sleeve inseam: 14 1/2”
Bust: 42” around, taken under the arms
Waist: 46” around
Overall length: 21 1/2”, measured flat
Condition: It is in very good condition with no pronounced wear or splits except for a small wear spot where the lining is detached at the neckline (see last close-up photo) - should be fairly easy to have repaired. There are two stains on the lining that I haven’t try to remove, but these shouldn’t bother anyone too greatly and might get better with some treatment.
This is a very nice vintage mink jacket - 60s glamour, sure to be noticed!
